Hello!

Hafsa Shibli, LMHC

Therapy is like getting a PhD in yourself, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of you.

Why is it so hard for me to say no?” “How do I manage my emotions?” “Will I ever feel better?” “Does everyone overthink or is it just me?”

This is the space to heal and process the things that are holding you back from living the life you want.

I specialize in complex trauma, attachment and relational issues, depression, and anxiety. I have experience working with individuals and couples as well as children and families of all backgrounds.

I believe that therapy is not one size fits all.

Using elements of DBT, IFS, and somatic therapies, I tailor our sessions to your needs. I utilize a person centered, trauma informed approach and integrate cultural sensitivity into my sessions to create a space where my clients feel seen and understood. By incorporating compassion, curiosity, and humor, I encourage a collaborative process to empower my clients. My goal is to create a safe and inviting space for us to work together in order to achieve your goals.

I’m ready when you are.

About Me: I received my BA/BS in Sociology and Psychology from Tulane University and my Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College. I continued on to complete the 2-year Integrated Trauma Studies Program and EMDR Certification from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. Outside of my work as a Mental Health Counselor, I enjoy hot yoga, learning how to keep my plants alive, and experimenting with new recipes!
